Unknown males kidnapped the non-public assistant of Manipur Client Affairs Minister L. Susindro close to his residence in Imphal East district on Friday, police stated.
The motive behind the kidnapping of S. Somorendro (43) stays unclear. No group has claimed accountability for the incident and investigations are ongoing, police stated.
This comes a day after armed assailants fired at the very least 5 rounds on the residence of former chief secretary Oinam Nabakishore in Bishnupur district on Thursday night time. No person was injured within the incident, police stated.
Police recovered empty cartridge circumstances from the spot and a case has been registered at Bishnupur police station.
