After internet hosting a powerful 47 lakh devotees this season, the Badrinath Nagar Panchayat initiated a complete cleansing drive to revive the sacred shrine and its environment to their pristine situation forward of the winter closure.
A devoted staff of fifty ‘Paryavaran Mitra’ performed the cleanup, amassing 1.5 tonnes of waste from key areas equivalent to Brahm Kapal, Astha Path, Tapt Kund, Major Bazaar, and Mana village.
This effort underscored the dedication of native authorities to sustaining the sanctity and cleanliness of the revered Char Dham pilgrimage website.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, a constant advocate for cleanliness at Char Dham shrines, praised the initiative.

Earlier, on Monday, November 18, the sacred thrones of Uddhav, Kuber, and Shankaracharya started their winter journey from Badrinath Dham to their designated places.
