Azhar Ali Named Head Of Youth Growth By Pakistan Cricket Board

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Friday appointed former Pakistan skipper Azhar Ali as head of youth growth. The newly created function was stuffed after a recruitment course of, in keeping with the PCB. Azhar opened up on his new function and mentioned that he’s honoured and excited to tackle the tasks.

“I’m honoured and excited to tackle this vital function. Having risen via the age-group ranks and performed intensive membership and home cricket, I perceive the crucial function grassroots growth performs in shaping future stars,” Azhar mentioned on his appointment as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.

Azhar was in control of Pakistan in ODIs from 2015 to 2017 (taking up for Misbah-ul-Haq after the World Cup), a turbulent time for the crew within the format throughout which they fell to No. 9 within the rankings. He didn’t take part in any T20Is and his final ODI for Pakistan was in January 2018.
