After Elon Musk complained about federal spending for housing migrants in what he referred to as “luxurious accommodations” housing in New York Metropolis, the Division of Homeland Safety introduced Tuesday 4 FEMA officers who it stated made the funds had been fired.
The firings embody the company’s chief monetary officer, two program analysts and a grant specialist, DHS stated in an announcement that labeled them “deep state activists.”
The cash got here from the FEMA grant program.
“Underneath President Trump and Secretary Noem’s management, DHS won’t sit idly and permit deep state activists to undermine the need and security of the American folks,” the DHS assertion stated.

Musk claimed on X that his Division of Authorities Effectivity “found” that FEMA spent over $50 million to “luxurious” accommodations for “migrant housing,” and doing so violated the president’s government order calling for an immigration crackdown.
A short while later, appearing FEMA Administrator Cameron Hamilton posted on X that funds to these luxurious accommodations had been suspended as of Saturday and “personnel can be held accountable.”
Trump echoed Musk’s criticism of FEMA and continued to bash it in a social media publish on Reality Social Tuesday.
He stated that the company is being investigated resulting from allegedly mismanaging cash and never serving to North Carolina; and that the company ought to be “TERMINATED.”
