Components 1 follow race suspended after giant lizard invades the monitor forward of Singapore Grand Prix

Race management then suspended the race with a crimson flag to permit marshals to take away the lizard from the circuit.

Two marshals have been despatched to clear the lizard off the course. One was given a plastic bag to try to scoop the reptile up, but it surely proved to be a troublesome job. 

The lizard was naturally not very cooperative, operating away from the marshals – a lot to the amusement of Purple Bull racer Daniel Ricciardo, who was noticed laughing as he watched the scene unfold. 

The broadcasters had some enjoyable with their commentary of the marshal’s pursuit of the lizard.

The rogue reptile was finally faraway from the course, and motion resumed shortly after the lizard’s delay. 

Lizards are frequent on the island of Singapore, and since they’re drawn to heat, they will continuously go to the monitor because the asphalt the racers drive on retains the warmth.

This was not the primary time there was a lizard on the course in Singapore. Again in 2016, additionally through the closing follow, one other reptile was on the course, incomes the nickname “Godzilla” from Max Verstappen’s race engineer Gianpiero Lambiase. 

Qualifying for the Singapore Grand Prix is later Saturday, and the race is Sunday.
