Dozens killed in Pakistan sectarian assaults

Greater than 80 individuals have been killed in renewed sectarian violence in north-west Pakistan, officers say.

Another156 are stated to have been wounded in three days of preventing within the tribal district of Kurram, close to the Afghan border.

The violence started on Thursday, when gunmen attacked convoys of Shia Muslims travelling by means of the world below police escort. Greater than 40 died in that incident, which triggered revenge assaults.
