Enrique Tarrio, the previous chairman of the Proud Boys and who was not too long ago pardoned by President Donald Trump, was arrested on the U.S. Capitol on Friday, in response to authorities.

Tarrio, in response to the U.S. Capitol Police, allegedly struck a lady’s cellphone and arm when she allegedly put a cellphone close to his face after a press convention wrapped up on Capitol grounds.
Tarrio was sentenced in September 2023 for his conviction on seditious conspiracy and given the longest sentence of the entire convicted Jan. 6 rioters, although he was not on the Capitol on Jan. 6.
Throughout his sentencing, prosecutors pointed to a nine-page strategic plan to “storm” authorities buildings in Washington on Jan. 6 that was present in Tarrio’s possession after the riot, in addition to violent rhetoric they are saying he routinely utilized in messages with different members of the group about what they’d do if Congress moved ahead in certifying President Joe Biden’s election win.
Tarrio was notably sentenced to the longest time period of imprisonment amongst the entire practically 1,600 people charged in reference to the assault.
