Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s aircraft skilled a mechanical concern whereas en path to Munich, Germany, on Thursday, in keeping with a State Division spokesperson.
The aircraft has circled and is returning to Joint Base Andrews and Rubio will proceed his journey to Germany and the Center East on a separate plane, the spokesperson added.
Rubio is headed to Germany to attend the Munich Safety Convention and to take part within the G7 Overseas Ministers’ Assembly, in accordance the State Division.

He’ll then journey to Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to satisfy with senior officers, in keeping with the company.
“Secretary Rubio’s engagements with senior officers will promote U.S. pursuits in advancing regional cooperation, stability, and peace,” the State Dept. stated of the journey, including that the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and hostage deal shall be a precedence.
