Seven promising younger West Indian cricketers will bear an intense two-week specialised coaching camp from December 1 on the Chennai Tremendous Kings Academy, the CWI introduced. Accompanied by the West Indies Academy head coach Ramesh Subasinghe and assistant coach Rohan Nurse, the group will depart for India on November 29. Among the many chosen gamers are three contracted franchise gamers — Kirk McKenzie, Matthew Nandu, and Kevin Wickham — together with present and former West Indies Academy gamers Teddy Bishop and Jewel Andrew, and former West Indies Underneath-19 gamers Jordan Johnson and Ackeem Auguste.
Director of Cricket, Miles Bascombe, stated: “The Chennai Academy will host these seven batsmen and intention to equip them with abilities and expertise in navigating spinning situations.
“Our coaches will likely be available to make sure that the learnings within the interval will be consolidated and prolonged to different gamers within the area by means of the academy.” The gamers will have interaction in a two-day match and three white-ball fixtures as a part of their coaching on the CSK Academy.
They are going to work alongside skilled coaches, together with CSK Academy Director Sriram Krishnamurthy.
The initiative attracts inspiration from comparable profitable programmes, together with the current coaching camps undertaken by the New Zealand Check crew forward of their profitable tour of India.
